Submit a tenant repair request and follow its progress

Describe a problem through the active tenant portal and understand agent review, photographs and updates.

For: Tenants, Agents & developers2 min readReviewed

Before you start

  • You need an active confirmed share for the tenancy and permission to submit. For immediate danger, use appropriate local emergency assistance; this tool is not emergency dispatch.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. The tenant opens the shared tenancy and its repair-request area.
  2. Enter a clear title, description, priority and location of the problem.
  3. Submit once and review the request detail. Add supported photographs and captions when uploads are permitted.
  4. Read the updates in that request instead of submitting repeated copies of the same issue.
  5. The agent reviews the request and accepts or declines it with the appropriate explanation. An accepted request links to a maintenance issue.
  6. The tenant follows the request's permitted progress view. The agent handles its internal repair work and any separate landlord approval.

Workspace links may ask you to sign in. Access depends on your role, plan and the records shared with you.

Review comes before work

Submitting does not appoint a contractor or authorise spending. Acceptance and repair progress are distinct, and the tenant does not receive the agent's private operational or financial details.

If portal access changes, uploads, new messages or request visibility can be restricted. The latest access message is more reliable than an old screenshot.

Troubleshooting

The request submitted but the connection failed
Reload the request list before creating another. A retry of the same submission can be recognised, but repeated new requests can create unnecessary duplicate work.
