Payments & Refunds

MUJ Digital LTD · Last updated

This policy applies to platform plans and promotions purchased from Property Hunt. It forms part of our Terms of Use and does not override rights provided by Nigerian consumer law.

1. What this policy covers

It does not set the refund terms for a property sale, rent, deposit, booking or commission agreed with an advertiser. Those arrangements are between the relevant parties, subject to applicable law. Property-management payment entries in the workspace record payments; they do not mean Property Hunt collected the rent.

2. Before you pay

Check the plan or campaign, currency, billing period, total payable, taxes or other disclosed charges, limits, start date and renewal arrangement shown at checkout. Do not proceed if the total or service differs from what you expect. Paid checkout may be unavailable while billing is disabled; the existence of a pricing page does not authorise a charge.

Paystack is used where configured. Its processing status or a bank debit alone may not establish that the service has been activated. Check Billing or the promotion’s status and contact us about an unresolved charge. A card-free trial does not charge you automatically.

3. Cancelling subscriptions and campaigns

Use the cancellation control in Billing to stop an available recurring subscription. A confirmed cancellation prevents future renewals under that agreement; confirmed paid access normally continues to its stated end. If the provider has not confirmed cancellation, check its status again or contact us before the next charge. Do not assume that closing the browser or removing a listing cancels a subscription.

A one-time promotion is not a recurring subscription. Cancelling a campaign stops its future display under the campaign controls, but does not automatically issue a refund or restore a used plan allowance. Unused monthly allowances expire rather than rolling over. These system behaviours do not prevent a valid legal or delivery-related refund claim.

4. Refund requests and service problems

We review reported duplicate charges, charges you dispute, a paid service that was not delivered, material delivery failures and any other refund entitlement under applicable law. Where the law requires a refund or another remedy, we provide that remedy. A service you paid for cannot be made non-refundable simply by labelling every payment final.

Voluntary cancellation of correctly delivered time or exposure does not automatically create a partial-period refund. A request is assessed against what was purchased, what was delivered, the reason for cancellation, the purchase disclosures and applicable law. We do not guarantee a particular number of views, enquiries, lettings or sales.

If a listing becomes ineligible for promotion, its paid campaign may stop displaying. Contact us about any undelivered part; the reason for ineligibility and the delivered service will be considered. An automatic failure to issue a refund is not a decision that no refund is owed.

5. How to raise a billing issue

Email support@propertyhunt.ng with the account email, payment reference, payment date, amount, currency, plan or campaign and a short explanation. Include relevant screenshots if useful. Never send a card security code, sign-in code, password or full card number.

We will investigate against our records and the provider’s records, explain the outcome and arrange any applicable remedy. Provider or bank processing times can affect when a refund reaches your account; we will explain the status rather than promise a fixed time we cannot control. You retain any right to raise a dispute with your payment provider, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or a competent court.
