1. Essential cookies
Cookies are small values held by your browser and sent with requests to a site. Essential cookies support a service you request. Blocking them can prevent sign-in or other account features.
- afrimls_session: a protected sign-in token cookie. It is HttpOnly, so page scripts cannot read it, and normally expires after two hours in line with the issued access token.
- afrimls_country: the country associated with the signed-in service. It has the same protection and expiry as the sign-in cookie.
- ph_analytics: records whether you allow or refuse optional analytics. It is set when you save a choice and lasts up to 180 days. It stores that choice, not your name or browsing history.
2. Optional analytics
Optional first-party analytics measure property and sponsored-placement activity. They remain off unless you allow them. A signed-in account can be represented by a keyed identifier for counting; guests can receive ph_visitor, an HttpOnly random browser identifier lasting up to seven days. It is not an advertising identifier and does not grant access to your account.
Refusing analytics stops optional event counting through the website and removes the visitor cookie. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals override a saved permission. Withdrawing permission stops future optional measurement; it does not automatically erase earlier lawfully recorded events. You may separately make a privacy request.
We do not currently load third-party advertising trackers or third-party analytics tags in the website code. Essential transaction, security and fraud-prevention records are separate from optional activity measurement.
3. Saved items and external services
afrimls:saved:v1 is local browser storage used for a guest’s saved property summaries and searches. It persists until you remove the items, clear site storage or your browser removes it. Signing into an account does not automatically erase device saves. Account-saved items are stored separately with your account.
A map request can disclose your IP address and the requested map area to the map provider. Opening WhatsApp, an external tour, a video or payment checkout takes you to a service with its own storage and privacy practices. Our controls here do not change those providers’ settings.
4. Your cookie choices
You can change optional analytics permission at any time below. Continuing to browse, creating an account or accepting the Terms of Use does not itself permit optional analytics.
Optional analytics: checking your saved preference…
Essential sign-in and security features remain available whichever option you choose. Your choice is remembered for up to 180 days in this browser.
You can also clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser. Clearing the preference returns optional analytics to the default off state. Clearing sign-in cookies signs you out; clearing device saves can remove the items saved only on that device. For questions or data requests, contact support@propertyhunt.ng.
