Before you start
- A contact in People is not a portal account. Decide which property or tenancy the recipient should access before inviting.
Step-by-step instructions
- The agent opens the property's landlord-sharing controls or the tenancy's tenant-sharing controls.
- Check the intended recipient email and the information the share will expose.
- Create the invitation and privately pass its returned link to the intended person.
- The recipient signs into their own intended account and claims the link.
- The agent checks the claimant's account and email information, then confirms the share where required.
- Explicitly share any permitted documents or published reports separately; claiming the invitation does not automatically reveal every file.
- Revoke or replace an incorrect share through the current controls and review any dependent approval or document access.
Workspace links may ask you to sign in. Access depends on your role, plan and the records shared with you.
Confirm the claimant
A link may be forwarded, and the displayed claimant email is not by itself a universal identity guarantee. The agent is responsible for checking that the account belongs to the intended person before confirming access.
Access is rechecked when the portal is opened. Account standing, the agent's workspace and the share's current state can pause or end visibility without deleting the underlying records.
Troubleshooting
- The invitation expired before it was claimed
- Ask the agent for the supported replacement invitation. Do not reuse another person's share or edit the token.
