Upload, organise and share private documents

Attach a file to the correct business record and explicitly choose any landlord or tenant access.

Before you start

  • Only upload documents you are authorised to store. Read the file type/size limits and do not include unnecessary sensitive information.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Open Documents in Property Manager or the document area of the relevant property or tenancy.
  2. Choose the document category and correct record context, then enter the requested title, dates and expiry information.
  3. Upload the supported file and wait for validation and malware-scanning checks.
  4. Open the saved record to verify that the file and metadata are correct.
  5. If sharing is required, use the explicit landlord or tenant sharing controls and confirm the intended account/share.
  6. Review shared access when replacing a file, ending a tenancy or revoking a portal. Use the documented unshare or archive actions as appropriate.

Workspace links may ask you to sign in. Access depends on your role, plan and the records shared with you.

Files are shared as uploaded

Property Hunt does not automatically redact a document. A person who can open a shared agreement may see every name, signature or other detail in the file. Check the actual document, not just its title, before sharing it.

Document storage does not write, sign or legally validate the agreement. An expiry date helps operational follow-up but is not proof of a document's legal effect.

Troubleshooting

A tenant cannot download a file I uploaded
Uploading and sharing are separate. Check the active portal, the correct tenancy and whether that exact file was explicitly shared.
