Protect invitation, enquiry and shortlist links

Treat private links as access credentials and choose sharing controls deliberately.

Before you start

  • A private link can grant access to a conversation or shared information even when it looks like an ordinary URL.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Identify whether a link is a public listing URL or a private conversation, invitation, application-management or shortlist link.
  2. Share private links only with intended recipients using a private channel.
  3. Before confirming a portal or team claim, check the actual account that claimed it.
  4. Use revoke, replace, unshare or remove-access controls when available if a link or assignment should no longer work.
  5. If you suspect disclosure and no suitable control is available, contact the responsible agent or support promptly.
  6. When asking for help, supply a safe record reference; do not post the full private token publicly.

Workspace links may ask you to sign in. Access depends on your role, plan and the records shared with you.

Visibility is feature-specific

A shortlist can show feedback to its link holders while hiding private client criteria. A portal may show an explicitly shared file exactly as uploaded. A team assignment can expose a conversation without granting general access to the entire workspace.

Revoking a link or grant stops the access covered by that control. It does not retract copies someone already lawfully downloaded or revoke a different, separately granted permission.

Troubleshooting

I cannot recover the token from its detail screen
Some tokens are shown only when issued. Use the authorised replacement or recovery workflow rather than guessing or copying another person's token.
