Before you start
- Have the property address, its landlord details and a clear label for each unit. Check the capacity available to your account.
Step-by-step instructions
- In Property Manager, open Properties and add the building or managed property.
- Enter an accurate label, address, city/state and relevant landlord details, then save.
- Open the property and add the individual units you manage. Unit labels must be distinct within that property.
- Add or update the property's management information and optional photo where offered.
- Open a unit to manage its applications, tenancy and maintenance context.
- Use archive only when the displayed rules permit it; do not rename an occupied unit to pretend that it is a different available unit.
Workspace links may ask you to sign in. Access depends on your role, plan and the records shared with you.
Two different registers
A managed property is a private operational record. It does not become a public listing merely because you add it to Property Manager. A separate public listing can be linked to application settings where supported.
A building can contain several units, each with its own tenancy history. Keep unit labels recognisable in charges, repairs, documents and reports.
Troubleshooting
- I cannot archive a unit
- Read the reason shown and review its current or future tenancy and other dependencies. End or correct the real workflow before attempting to archive.
